DA represents a breakthrough in architectural video animation, challenging the conventional approach to presentation videos in design offices. Unlike typical animations that lack narrative depth and artistry, Tamouz architecture & construction group sought to create a project that rivaled commercial productions in quality and storytelling. The result was a 3D animation video for the DA complex, crafted with a clear narrative vision and a focus on cinematic standards. To achieve this, we developed a detailed scenario and storyboard, ensuring every frame contributed meaningfully to the final product. Due to the rendering challenges and limited resources, the idea of taking B-roll footage was not an option. Instead, each frame, over 1800 in total, was meticulously rendered using Lumion software, with the invaluable support of CG artist and architect Hadi Koohi. Post-production then brought the visuals to life, combining precision and creativity to deliver a polished outcome.
While the project faced constraints in time and GPU capacity, its completion marked a significant achievement, proving that architectural animations can be elevated to meet both artistic and commercial standards. DA is not just a video. It’s a step toward reimagining how design is presented, blending technical innovation with narrative craftsmanship.
