When I see a frame, I don’t analyze it—I feel it. That’s when I press the shutter. Often, I’m not entirely sure what I’ll end up with, and that’s the beauty of it. The more you try to rationalize—Is it straight? Is it too dark? Is it too bright?—the more you lose sight of the true subject.
